The Varsity girl's hockey team battled hard all season to earn a spot in the R.O.P.S.S.A.A Girl's hockey finals on Monday March 6th.
The girls showed up ready to play and excited to battle. They took to the ice with a strong start from both sides, unfortunately, goal-tender Sofia Arias got injured early as she dislocated her knee and had to pop it back in. Sofia did not let the injury stop her from playing her game.
Despite the team's best efforts they fell short of the mark and were unable to defeat a strong St.Martins team. They played the game to the final buzzer as they never gave up and continued fighting.
The girls placed second play earning themselves silver medals. The spirit times and the rest of the St. Marcellinus school would like to congratulate the Varsity Girls' team for a phenomenal season and a great effort and would also like to wish the senior players the best of luck in their years to come.
